Consultant: Jim Lowther

Jim completed his undergraduate at St Mary's College, University of Surrey and his MSc in Sport Sciences at Brunel University. He managed the award winning Football and Community Programme at Wimbledon FC until May 2001, following which he was appointed Sport Science Co-ordinator with specific responsibility for sport psychology at Wimbledon FC. He provided sport psychology support to first team players, reserve and youth team players as well as liaising with other sports science staff within the club. He joined Kingston University full time in September 2004 as a senior lecturer. Jim teaches applied sports psychology and match analysis.

He is a BASES accredited sport psychologist (applied support) and has worked with elite international athletes in the following sports; football, field hockey, athletics, rowing , golf ,Olympic trap (shooting), clay sports (shooting) and fencing . He has also worked with athletes at club level in a range of sports including hockey (Surbiton Hockey Club men's team), tennis, swimming, gymnastics and badminton. He has a keen interest in Gaelic games having provided support for Mayo in the all Ireland football championship (2002). Jim has extensive experience in team sports and professional football having provided psychology programmes/workshops at Wimbledon FC, West Ham FC Academy, Charlton FC Academy and Northampton Town FC.
