There's been a lot spoken about pressure in sport recently. Highly talented, excellently prepared teams and athletes continue to perform below par. Until the psychological component necessary for success is trained to the extent of the physical, technical and tactical aspects, those mentally tough competitors will continue to win over the more talented, better physically prepared opponents.

Caterpillar break World Record

What a pleasure it was to have involvement with the world record breaking Caterpillar Team. The team showed so much courage and mental strength to run the 2010 Marathon, tied together - all 34 of them; and overcoming adversity with injuries, pain and other setbacks! Full credit to the the whole team.

Didier Drogba: Poetry on the Football Pitch

Chelsea have it all to play for in their final two matches of the season, and Drogba continues to show why he is one, if not the, best centre forward in world football.

Ivorian Didier Yves Drogba Tébily, captain and all-time leading scorer of the Côte d'Ivoire national football team has scored more goals for Chelsea than any other foreign player and is currently Chelsea's ninth highest goal scorer of all time. He epitomises the ideal centre forward - pace, power, intelligence and mental toughness. He signed his first professional contract aged 21 and moved to Chelsea for a record breaking fee of £24 million.
Away from the pitch, Drogba is known for his charity work and was appointed by the United Nations Development Programme as a Goodwill Ambassador in 2007. He has three children with his Malian wife, Alla.

Spurs' steel cheers Redknapp

Tottenham players showed plenty of mental toughness last season to break into that  fourth Champions League spot for the first time. This was a great achievement and hopefully can see the side back with the giants of Europe. The top three sides Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal also continue to show their steel in maintaining the highest of standards throughout another successful campaign. Here's to an exciting season!

Jenson Button - Perserverence and talent pay off

Jenson's first season in Formula One was in 2000 - after years of perserverence and hard work, he won the 2009 World Drivers' Championship , while also helping Brawn GP to secure the World Constructors' Championship in its maiden season.
